A key event in our calendar every year is the OFP Timber Frame and Discovery Stairs Charity Golf Day. This year marked the 22nd Anniversary of our annual charity golf event, which raises funds for Shooting Star Children’s Hospices.

The event took place on September 26th at North Foreland Golf Course in Broadstairs, Kent. Although the day was quite wet, we all had an absolutely fabulous day.

The event brings together the OFP and Discovery Stairs teams with suppliers, clients and other industry peers along with friends and family.

We cannot thank everyone enough for all their kindness and support of the event and we are delighted to share that collectively, we raised over £13,500 for Shooting Star Children’s Hospices.

We kicked off with coffee and breakfast in the beautiful North Foreland Golf Course to prepare all the teams for the day. The day was wet and windy to start, but that didn’t dampen our spirits and we couldn’t wait to head to the course.

Throughout the day, we held competitions for a series of prizes, including Longest Drive and Nearest the Pin. There were also on-course challenges and Beat the Pro.

In the evening, the golfing teams were joined by friends, family and colleagues for prize giving, presentations, speeches and awards. Everyone had a brilliant night with dinner, celebrations, entertainment, music and dancing.

The evening also included an auction to raise further funds for Shooting Star Children’s Hospices.

The Shooting Star Children’s Hospices do wonderful work caring for babies, children and young people with life-limiting conditions and their families, across south-west London, north-west London and Surrey. It costs £10 million a year to run Shooting Star Children’s Hospices, so they rely on the generosity of their supporters to keep their services going.

We are blown away by the donations and kindness of those who attended.

We would like to say a huge thank you to everyone who took part and supported our annual Charity Golf Day. A special thank you to North Foreland Golf Course in Broadstairs, Kent for hosting us and helping us organise such a wonderful event.

We cannot wait until 2025.
