Chartway Partnerships Group, a leading vertically-integrated land-led partnerships housebuilder, is delighted to announce today the acquisition of two significant businesses into the Group: OFP Timber Frames and Discovery Stairs & Joinery. This strategic move solidifies Chartway’s commitment to innovation, sustainability, and operational excellence in the delivery of new homes across South East England.

OFP Timber Frames, based in Sandwich, operates out of a purpose-built eco-friendly facility and is a leader in structural timber frame solutions. The company is led by Alastair Narraway, Alex Leroy, Liam Narraway, and Ken Mackenzie. Discovery Stairs, located in Broadstairs, specialises in high-quality staircases and tailored joinery packs for volume and PLC home builders, under the leadership of Scott Narraway.

With both businesses already playing a key role in Chartway’s supply chain, the integration comes as a natural progression following years of successful collaboration on new homes projects such as Manston Gardens on the outskirts of Ramsgate. The addition of OFP and Discovery Stairs strengthens the Group’s market position and increases the in-house supply chain capability to 47%, enabling greater efficiency and speed in delivery of new homes.

In addition to leading OFP, Chartway is pleased to announce Alastair Narraway has also been appointed Managing Director of Chartway’s drylining and screeding division, CDL. In his dual role, Alastair will continue leading OFP while steering CDL towards expanding its customer base, driving operational efficiencies, and creating cross-selling opportunities within the Group.

Steve Cresswell, Group CEO of Chartway:

“We are delighted to welcome OFP and Discovery Stairs to the Chartway family. Their combined expertise and shared values will significantly enhance our ability to deliver new homes for our partners, while advancing our sustainability and ESG goals. This is an exciting time for Chartway, and we look forward to the value and innovation these companies will bring to our shared vision of delivering quality homes across South East England.”

Alastair Narraway, Managing Director of OFP and CDL:

“Speaking on behalf of the team, we are thrilled to have OFP and Discovery Stairs join the highly regarded Chartway Partnerships Group. This is a fantastic opportunity to strengthen the Group’s offering to new and existing partners, while building on our commitment to sustainability and quality. I’m also excited to take on the role of MD at CDL, and I look forward to working with the teams to drive growth, enhance efficiencies, and expand our customer base in line with the Group’s vision of delivering homes for everyone.”

This strategic acquisition and leadership appointment signal a period of growth and innovation for Chartway Partnerships Group, reinforcing its market position as a leader in the delivery of sustainable, high-quality homes for everyone throughout South East England.
