Job Description:

Discovery stairs and joinery are looking to appoint a QS/Commercial Manager.

  • Management of client’s final accounts, and liaison with internal accounts to establish final position.
  • Managing installation cost and overrun of fall arrest.
  • Responsibility for monitoring budgetary performance from handover to FA by individual departments.
  • Liaison with contracts team in respect of budgets, contra charges, variation and claims for loss, damage etc from client
  • Responsibility for ensuring adherence monthly valuations or staged payments where applicable
  • Checking and signing off of installer/supplier invoices
  • Allocation of costs attributable to design/installation errors (internal and external) and cost recovery where applicable
  • Dispute resolution
  • Dealing with claims for loss, damage or delay for or against the company
  • Reviewing and implementing systems to improve company performance in respect of the above
  • Working closely with accounts and Liam in respect of payments received and subcontractor payment.
  • Liaising with accounts on systems compliance for document control.
  • Specific job reporting on margin.

Salary can be discussed on an individual basis, dependent on experience, commencing on an hourly rate with generous holiday entitlement and other benefits.

How To Apply

Although full training and support will be given, experience in either the stairs and joinery or truss roof environments will be a distinct advantage.
